Antique VTG Meridian Silver Serving / Vanity Basket With Glass Insert. Excellent Used Condition (EUC). Marked with Meridian phoenix hallmark and “Sterling 55.” Pressed glass insert with starburst pattern on bottom. Dates to late 19th or early 20th Century. Filigree footed sterling filigree basket frame with blank cartouche for personalization. Tarnish removal is at Buyer’s discretion. The fish scale or fan pattern with a bundled bamboo border may date as early as 1898, to the Oriental Revival period. Basket dimensions: 7.5” L x 3.15” W x 5” T.
